The firm has many years of experience in registering Trademarks with the US Patent and Trademark Office and with foreign trademark offices. Properly crafting a trademark application involves skills and knowledge beyond simply filling out an on-line form, for example, such as designing the description of the goods or services covered by the mark and the form of the mark so as to avoid potential conflicts with other already registered marks. The firm’s attorneys can also assist in the initial selection and design of trademarks to insure selection of a strong, protectable mark.
Trademark Litigation
In the litigation arena, the firm’s lawyers have litigated scores of trademark infringement cases. The firm’s experience includes applications for temporary restraining orders and preliminary injunctions to immediately halt infringement, conducting jury trials of infringement cases in Federal Court, and handling appeals of final judgments after trial to various United States Courts of Appeal. The firm is also experienced in the filing, prosecution, and trial of cancelation and opposition proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board to cancel marks which conflict with those of our clients or to oppose registration of such marks and in defending against such proceedings brought against our clients.
